Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University (TESAU, Georgia)
Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University (TeSaU) is situated in the East part of Georgia, in a small town Telavi. TeSaU is one of the oldest educational centers in the country and the only HEI in Kakheti region. TeSaU is a worthy successor of Ikalto Academy that dates to the 12th century and is considered to be one of the main cultural and educational centers of medieval Georgia.
TeSaU was founded in 1939 as a Pedagogical Institute. Since 1940 the institution has been named after the great Georgian pedagogue and public figure Iakob Gogebashvili. On the 60th anniversary of its foundation, in 1999, it was awarded the status of State University. It is an autonomous State Higher Educational Institution. Teaching language here is native Georgian.
TeSaU offers students renewed programmes covering BA, MA and PhD cycles. There are four faculties at TeSaU: Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Agrarian, Natural Sciences and Technologies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Law and Faculty of Education Sciences. University owns four teaching campuses, more than thirty well-equipped labs and cabinets, a stadium and a gym.
The number of the projects and mobility programs funded by the EU is increasing annually. Approximately 1 800 students are enrolled at TeSaU.

Chief Specialist of the Internationalization and Public Affairs Office at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. At the same time, she is an invited lecturer at hashtag#TeSaU. Experienced staff in project management, involved in several international projects as a researcher/teacher/trainer. She has published papers in international scientific journals and participated in some local and international conferences.
